2026 FEC Filing Deadlines

With the first FEC deadline of 2026 approaching on January 31, it's time to download our monthly and quarterly one-pager with all the information you need to stay on track this year.

Since this is an election year, most committees must file either quarterly or monthly. The frequency of filing depends on your committee type. For example, national party committees are required to file monthly while other types can choose to file each month or once a quarter. The FEC allows:

• Quarterly reports: House and Senate campaign committees

• Monthly reports: national party committees

• Quarterly or monthly: presidential campaign committees, PACs as well as state, district, and local committees

If a committee wishes to change their filing frequency, they must notify the FEC in writing and can't change more than once a year.
