Crimson Feature of the Month: JFC Dashboard Overview

Managing Joint Fundraising Committees can be a complex process, especially when you’re coordinating multiple committees, navigating allocation formulas, and keeping your compliance reporting airtight. That’s why Crimson offers a powerful suite of tools designed specifically to simplify JFC activity. At the center of it all is the JFC Dashboard, your command center for everything related to JFC contributions, distributions, and reporting.

This month’s Feature of the Month highlights how the JFC Dashboard can save your team time, reduce errors, and keep your joint fundraising efforts running smoothly.

Where is the JFC Dashboard?

To access the JFC Dashboard, click on the More button on the right-hand menu. Select JFC when additional options appear.

Understanding Your JFC Dashboard

1. Once you reach the JFC Dashboard, everything you need is just a click away thanks to the Dashboard Navigation Bar (top-right corner), which includes:

  • People Search

  • Money Search

  • JFC Search

2. The JFC Dashboard gives you a high-level view of your fundraising activity at-a-glance. The top of the dashboard features summary cards showing:

  • Total amount raised (year-to-date) by the JFC,

  • Total amount distributed (year-to-date) by the JFC,

  • Total amount raised by the JFC over all-time

  • Total amount distributed by the JFC over all-time.

All cards also display the number of gifts that make up those total amounts.

Note: If your account has multiple JFC’s associated with it, you can toggle across the buttons at the top of the screen to change the dashboard cards.

3.      Under the Total Raised & Total Distributed cards, you’ll see the JFC Waterfall. This displays the allocation formula from individuals/non multi-candidate PAC vs multi-candidate PAC

4. Next to it, is a pie graph that breaks down the JFC Codes Used that are used in Crimson.

5. On the right, you’ll see the Total$ Distributed by Participant graph, which shows how much each participant has distributed over all time versus year-to-date. When you hover over a particular value or bar, you’ll be given the exact amount.

6. On the next row, you’ll see two cards for Awaiting Distribution and Allocated to Excess.

7. On the right, are Dashboard Action Buttons, which include:

  • Distribution Search

  • New Expenditure

  • New Distribution

  • New Gift

These let you complete critical tasks, like entering a new gift or launching a new distribution, without ever leaving the page.

8. Next on the page are the Top 5 Lists for JFCs. The Top 5 Lists provide summary information for Top 5 Total Amount Distributed Per Participant, the Top 5 Total Awaiting Distribution Per Participant, and the Top 5 Distributions Missing Linked Transactions.

If you click on any item in the top 5 lists, it will open a list of transactions consisting of those records that make up that total number or the related JFC distribution.

9. A list of the JFC Reports and Compliance Reports that are available will be displayed in the Reports section. Run the report by clicking on the title. You can also click the button to display a list of all the reports.

More Tools to Manage JFCs with Precision

If you want additional JFC tools, try the JFC Vetting Tool. This feature quickly checks JFC donor lists using Crimson’s matching logic to see if donors already exist in your database and what they’ve given to a specific fund code. To access the JFC Vetting Tool, click on the Compliance Dashboard and look for it in the Quick Nav.
